The Meta 4X has long been a favourite here at Dirt HQ, with Jon the designer putting in hundreds of miles on his personal ride. More and more people are finding the versatility of this bike, building them up to ride XC and trail centres whilst having the aggressive geometry and effective short travel suspension to allow them to go for a bomb around the woods, hitting jumps and attacking the descents. Commencal have recognised this freeride use and have increased the strength of the tubing and linkage as well as options for Maxle or through–axle rear hubs. The Meta 4X is sold as a frame kit with Thomson seatpost and e.thirteen chainguide, and with the amendments for 2010, Commencal have improved on a classic.
