2013 Dirt 100: Renthal Integra Stem

If anyone is going to know how to make a quality direct-mount stem, then it must surely be motocross brand Renthal. Bicycle manufacturers seem to have struggled somewhat with the direct-mount stem, but thankfully the Integra does away with previous problems (bolts coming loose, cracked mounts etc.).

By using their simple two-piece design that is divided horizontally, they have reduced the number of clamping bolts required to only six, whilst at the same time they’ve produced a handlebar clamping area that is 64mm wide. That equates to a massively strong stem that puts far less stress through the bars than any other. Plus, the minimal design means that the Integra is also one of the lightest available, at only 138g. We have to say, having any Renthal product on your bike does make you feel pretty cool, which must count for something…
