However, the most impressive part of the stem is its strength which makes it the ideal option for downhill or aggressive trail riders. Some of this strength is achieved thanks to its ‘Top Lock Technology’ faceplate interface, which in English means the face-plate clamps around the bars and you tighten the top two bolts first to clamp flush with the stem body, then the bottom two, so your bars aren’t subjected to uneven clamping forces. Either way, the stem looks great, is super strong and won’t be causing any creaks.
