Low and balanced are the first two words that come to mind about the Wilson, and both those qualities play a large part in why this bike corners as well as it does.
The frame never gets in your way and with all that weight so low down it feels like it just hugs the ground. The Split Pivot suspension system also does a mighty fine job of keeping those tyres on the ground and it is easily up there as one of the best designs thanks to its neutral feel.
The whole bike also feels super solid and tight. Maybe that’s down to each one being lovingly handmade in Devinci’s own Canadian factory? For 2012 both the frameset and the top level build receive new carbon seat stays which reduce the unsprung weight, but it was the stiffness that they add which really made sure of their inclusion.
We’ve got a feeling that the carbon might spread even further in the future, but as it stands now it’s still one of the best DH frames that money can buy, for its cornering ability alone.
