How do you solve the wheelsize/travel enduro debate? For Trek, the answer lies in having one bike dedicated to 29 (the Slash) and one to 27.5 (the Remedy). In fact, they’ve solved it so well that both these bikes grace this year’s 100.
It’s no surprise the Trek Remedy is here of course, it’s already won plaudits as our trail bike of the year in 2015 and it made last year’s 100 too. This year’s model is brand new though and 150mm of travel front and rear will put it in the crosshairs of any potential buyers in the UK. With a 477mm reach, 1231mm wheelbase, 65.5 head angle and 339mm bottom bracket the numbers are bang on too – it’s worth noting the top end 9 series comes specced with longer Lyrik 160mm fork which, in effect, makes it slacker but a shade higher.
