Gamut are well known for their solid and reliable guides, keeping the chains of everyone from Greg Minnaar to Ben Reid in place at the top level of racing. Gamut have a system of no moving parts with the chain sliding over a rubber ‘o’-ring stretched around the lower plate, clever stuff and an easy thing to replace once worn out. Adjustment is straight forward with ring sizes stamped into the back plate to aid the setup procedure and there is enough mountaing hardware in the box to make sure you can get the guide into the right chainline.

There are a couple of different options in Gamut’s latest range, the Trail S is more of a guide befitting a DH bike or any bike that runs without a clutch mech. The SXC pictured below is what we expect most people will want to run for an added bit of security when running a 1×10 or 1×11 setup.
