The Vault Pedals are a benchmark design from DMR and have been around for a good few years. A very common site on the bikes of the committed flat pedal rider and for good reason; in fact we know a few who won’t use anything else.

DMR have been tweaking their range of pedals over the years, with many brands still playing catch up, and are one of the few to get the slimmer, concave and lower profile design spot on first time with the Vault. It’s a very well regarded pedal.

Shape, depth and pin placement are the qualities that make this pedal a winner. The 6061 aluminium platform is a great length and width combo (105mm x 105mm), and the profile is also ‘just right’ with a 17mm deep concave footbed area. With standard axles the Vaults weigh in at 400g a pair with options to reduce weight further with a magnesium body and titanium axles.

Eleven adjustable pins give tuneable traction, whatever your tastes and shoe choice. You can flip theses pins to further fine-tune grip. These pins are not the toughest (replacement kits are readily available though) but their placement is perfect – these pedals have been designed by riders who spend all their riding time on flats, not just some of their time.

Durability is proven too, with high load DU bushes and cartridge bearings giving a good service life even in testing UK conditions. Full rebuild kits are available too. The Vaults come in a range of models from the standard popular model (in a huge range of colours) to the signature Brendog and Lacondeguy models.

Superb flat pedals for downhill, trail, or enduro use. Just take a look at our personal bikes here at Dirt; they’re a very popular choice.
