The Lock On grip from ODI is standard issue now on most bikes, the LOCDD is DMR’s take on this classic. It just has the one clamp on each grip, which uses two grub screws to tighten an alloy ring that is housed inside a steel sleeve.
It features a stiff plastic core covered in ‘Kraton’ rubber, the pattern of which features the DMR ‘DD’ which is staggered and of varying heights. This gives you a super grippy grip…like it says in the catalogue ‘leech like grippyness’. I was a bit concerned that the single collar fixing might not be enough, but so far there has been no trouble. In serious wet and mud it may become a problem, but we haven’t had a chance to test them in these conditions yet (a simple wiper seal may help ease this possible problem, or maybe just another collar!). As with all DMR products there are colours galore, and either a version with a flange or one without.
