This great value Birzman multitool shares a similar design to many other multitools and as such is very neat and compact. At 127g it’s also fairly light, especially when you consider what it has to offer. All of the tools are forged from high quality, and very strong chrome vanadium before being CNC machined into their final shape. All the tools also have a central pivot which makes then easier to use. Of course leverage is somewhat limited by the 7cm length, but we’ve found it to offer enough in all but the most extreme circumstances.
Like most companies Birzman offer a whole range of different multitools but this is our favourite because we feel it offers all the essentials and doesn’t leave you carrying anything unnecessary about. You get 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8mm allen keys, T15 and T25 torx keys, a philips screwdriver, a decent quality chain tool, and no fewer than four very high quality spoke keys. Normally I’d avoid using multitool spoke keys unless absolutely necessary as with most of then you stand a very high chance of damaging your nipples, but I’d be more than happy to use the ones on this tool. Birzman have even included one for Mavic nipples, so if you’ve got a posh set of Mavic wheels and know how to tweak a wheel then this multitool would be perfect for you.
