ROTEC RL9
Rotec seemed to disappear for a good few years, but now they’re back with a vengeance
with this RL9 downhill frame. Like all their previous designs this 9” travel DH bike uses a
main pivot located around the bottom bracket, but now instead of a single pivot design
they’ve switched to one of the most proven designs around; a Mert Lawwill 4–bar. This
design was used to great success by the like of Tomac, Yeti and Schwinn, and now it’s
quite rightly (because it’s still one of the best designs around) been resurrected in this
RL9.
The frame comes complete with a floating brake mount, Marzocchi Roco World Cup
rear shock, and even a Hadley rear hub. If this bike turns out to be as good as we think it
could be then it’ll be the bargain DH bike of the year. It’s available in three sizes exclusively
