We had these in Dirt 82, when you could only get them from the States, but now they’re soon to be available in the UK through Hotlines

With all the stuff that comes through our door it does take
something pretty special to get everyone gathered round, but
that’s exactly what happened when this box of jewels turned
up from Point One Racing.

The Split–Second stem with its
integrated top cap is one of those products where you think
‘why hasn’t anyone thought of that before’. It’s exquisitely well
made and just looks so clean. It also weighs in at an incredibly
light 125g for the 25.4mm version, with the 31.8mm one
weighing in at only a few grams more. The BoXXer direct
mount version comes in a shade lighter again, even with all
the bolts, and once more it’s beautifully made and available
to fit both bar sizes.

If neither is already light enough or pimp
enough for you then Point One are also offering Ltd Edition
versions of both, which come with a full supply of titanium
bolts and a truly bling nickel plated finish. There’s also a new
70mm ‘all–mountain’ stem in the pipeline. In the meantime
they’re also selling some of the finest and lightest headset
spacers we’ve seen, including their Time–Capsule ones
which again feature an integrated top cap and are designed
to be used with a direct mount stem.

Definitely the best debut range
of products we’ve seen in while.
