O’Neal Helmets
We might as well say straight off that we’re pretty impressed with both of these new O’Neal helmets. We reckon they get pretty good style points, especially on the more expensive Skad model, and they seem to have put just as much thought into the rest of the design. Both helmets come with removable and washable liners, and although they both feel reassuringly solid, neither of them push down on the scales too hard. The carbon Skad weighs in at just 1004g, and even the bargain Fury weighs just 1122g. The thing we like most about them though is the fit. There have been very few helmets which we’ve tried that have come close to the fit of a Troy Lee, but both of these are very similar in shape, and although that’s obviously a personal thing, all of us here feel it’s a good thing. It’s also good to see that even the Fury comes complete with a helmet bag. Check out the website for the full range of colours.
