Downhill Bikes

Eight stealth downhill mountain bikes to spot in 2017

Blink and you'll miss them

There is something undeniably sexy about a black downhill mountain bike. Whether it’s raw carbon or glossy paint, we can’t help but stop and stare whenever a stealthy beauty rolls past.

Here are seven stealthy downhill bikes that shouldn’t fly under your radar:

Banshee Legend

Banshee produces two downhill bikes but the race focussed Legend is our favourite. Thankfully it’s much more subtle than the screaming ghost it’s named after.

Canfield Jedi

The Canfield Jedi is a classic design and still very desirable. It’s only available in black and its stealth look is only spoiled by a silver suspension linkage.

Solid Strike

The Solid Strike flew into our office as one of the first 650b downhill bikes we’d ridden and we’ve liked it ever since. Its yellow detailing makes it look like an angry hornet buzzing down the trails.

Intense M16C

It’s more commonly seen as a cherry red and black machine, but Intense also makes the M16C in a black and er… more black version. It’s a stone cold killer, just like the gun that inspired its name.

Unno downhill bike

Today is a very special day for us, exactly one year ago we showed to the world our Unno project, this was the first ever picture released of our DH frame, we made it in the rooftop of our design office, Cero. #rideunno

Unno hasn’t even released a bike yet but it already seems to have raw carbon down as its trademark. We’ve still only seen spy shots of the downhill bike but it looks to be a black beauty.

This is another as-yet-unreleased bike, but it’s been seen hucking around the continent between the legs of Jaws Szczeki.

YT Industries Tues CF

The YT Tues has always been a looker and the black edition is no exception. In terms of stealth it’s only let down by the YT lettering on the downtube.

Orange 324

You may not associate Orange with sleek, stealthy designs, but then you probably haven’t seen the 324 we had made for our Dirt 100.
