We’ve just had news in of several bike launches from the German giant and sponsor of Fabien Barel, Canyon. There is one entirely new all-mountain bike by the name of Spectral, which is being offered in two wheel sizes (27.5 and 29″) and an updated Nerve AL which is to be offered in 27.5″ (and will replace the 26″ Nerve AL+ but sit alongside the existing 29″ version of the bike).
We’ll be back with more news on the new bikes as we get it (they will apparently be officially launched next week at Eurobike) but for now here’s a quick look at the bikes with the official word from Canyon.
canyon Spectral AL 27.5
“Refined Simplicity“ – a clear statement of intent which was the focal point of the development work on the Spectral AL. The objective was to focus on the essentials. Sit on it, ride off and have fun – whether it’s up a steep hill, on flowing single trails or technical downhill sections. We have designed a versatile trail bike in the form of the Spectral AL with its refined and uncomplicated simplicity, perfectly positioned between the Nerve AL touring bike series and the Strive AL enduros. We decided to launch two Spectral AL versions to meet the individual demands of riders and the various requirements of the areas of their use. The 27,5″ and 29″ versions of the trail bikes in the Spectral AL model series replace the successful Nerve AL+ model in the new model year.
