We’ve just had these samples sent through from Hope. Its their answer to the Avid Matchmaker, and means you can mount your shifter directly to your brake.
They fit all of Hope’s new Tech brakes. It’s ideal as the brakes are made to fit inboard of the shifters, and these mounts are meant to put your shifter and brake lever in an ideal position. We’ve got these which fit SRAM shifters, but Hope are also going to make a version for the new Shimano 2 bolt adjustable shifters (XT, SLX, and Saint, but NOT XTR).
The production versions are going to be slightly different, with bits machined out to be lighter and look a bit more fly. The pricing will hopefully be close to the £24.99 price of the Avid Matchmakers for the pair, and hopefully they’ll sell a right hand only version to keep the downhill fraternity happy.
