Dan Atherton Down and Out – For the Time Being At Least

Bad news for GT and the Atherton family as Dan has taken a hit to the lower leg while out on a ride at home, resulting in a fracture to the tibia. Unfortunately this means that he will miss round one of the forthcoming Enduro World Series, but by the sounds of it he has high hopes to be back racing soon.

I was coming round a corner on a descent and a fallen tree was sticking out onto the trail – I tried to dodge it but unfortunately it caught me just below the knee pad, knocking me off my bike. I’m devastated as I’ve never felt more ready to start a season but I’m hopeful that I’ll be back on the bike very quickly.
