Canyon’s Spectral AL 9.0 EX is one of the best value trail/enduro bikes out there.

CANYON SPECTRAL AL 9.0 EX

The bike you see before you is actually the ‘SL’ version of the Spectral, a model that’ll set you back three grand, but we think the EX version is actually a better performer for less money (sadly we couldn’t get hold of one to shoot). The basis of both bikes is a 140mm travel aluminium frame that runs 27.5” wheels, and Canyon have done a great job with both the geometry and suspension. Talking of the suspension, the main reason that we prefer the EX version is because it comes with RockShox front and rear, a combination that we feel simply works better. Also, that model comes with a SRAM XO1 1×11 drivetrain rather than a 2×10. Overall this has to be one of the best value trail/enduro bikes around right now.
