Big up for World Champion Steve Peat, Tristan and the crew for organising an amazing 10th Battle Royal at Doncaster MotoPark over the weekend.
Big bikes, little bikes, bonfires, fireworks, drinking…it all went on over two days as mountainbikers including World Champion Emmeline Ragot, Tracy Moseley and Junior Champion Danny Hart mixed it with the motox mob in a petrol fuelled weekend of mayhem.
Saturday saw some big bike racing with Steve Peat on flag waving duties due to a blown up bike. I think a pro won the Expert race but ex Dirt rider Rob Breakwell was well up the field along with Donny, Ralph Jones and a few other MTBers. Filmer Alex Rankin was also giving it top banana, Bernard Kerr was looking handy on the TTR while Dirt Your Neck correspondent Phil Reedwas a pile of jelly after his first proper race. The mini bikes also had a race on the MX track which must have seemed more like an enduro round that long track.
Sunday was a relaxed day of ripping it up round the amazing sandy minibike track, I’m editing the DirtTV film right now so keep your eyes peeled for that video banger.
In the meantime here’s a few random photos mainly of pit bikes. For more news keep a look out on the FiddyForum over the next few days.
