A new offering from Specialized, the Bennies pedals offer a large platform, huge amount of grip through the long pins, and a nice concave shape. As with any Specialized product, you know that you are buying nothing but a top-rate pedal – they simply don’t do things by halves. As with the brand’s range of bikes and tyres, the designers and riders who work for the company have put the Bennies through their paces, and every single fault seems to have been ironed out. Big bearings mean little trouble in the strength stakes and although we haven’t had a chance yet to put them through a British winter, we can’t imagine that they’ll struggle to keep the muck out.
