Talented Dirt art director Jon Gregory last night won the much coveted Press Gazette Magazine Designer of the Year Award.
The Magazine Design and Journalism Awards honour the art and design teams, writers, reporters and production stars in the UK’s magazine industry. They are the only awards which celebrate design and journalism across all magazine sectors. He was up against some stiff opposition which included Esquire, Grazia, John Brown and Razzle.
Jon who has worked for Dirt since issue 63 was last night enjoying a nice cup of tea and biscuit at home while the cream of the industry were sipping champagne at the awards ceremony in the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.
He told waiting reporters this morning: “I’m delighted that my creative endeavours have been recognised by the industry, it just goes to show that if you don’t go over the lines to much while colouring in you can achieve anything.”
