Finn Iles has once again asserted his dominance on the junior field as he qualified fastest by over a second.
Finn won his maiden World Championships last year on this track and was in a similar mood today as he was first down the hill and posted a 3:47.896. It was a time that would stay unbeaten all morning as he sets himself up to target a sixth win of the season tomorrow.
Matt Walker got closest to the flying Canadian after being top in timed training as he posted a 3:49 and nearly caught Joe Breeden on course. There was a significant gap back to Sylvain Cougoureux in third. He’ll be looking to defend his number two plate tomorrow and finishing ahead of almost all his rivals will surely buoy his confidence.
Fourth went to Nik Nesteroff while Antoine Pierron posted a best ever fifth place.
