Bernard Kerr fastest in Leogang timed training

Bernard bosses the bikepark

Clearly all that time chilling out in Queenstown over the winter did wonders for Bernard Kerr as he has just set the fastest timed training time on the Bike Parky Leogang track.

Kerr wasn’t one of the riders to speak out against the supposedly easy track and he let his riding do the talking instead setting as he went for broke with a run that was a good half a second faster than second placed Troy Brosnan. Watch out for Gwin in third though, he was 0.8 up on Bernard’s time at the final split before either backing off or making a mistake to roll down third.

Danny Hart was also up at the final split (although only by 2 hundredths of a second) and he also must have backed off to finish fourth. Loic Bruni rounded out the top five.

In the women’s Eleonora Farina was fastest with Vaea Verbeeck second, although we should say that it looks like none of the top women we’re really going for setting a time.

Fort William’s winner, Matt Walker, took the spoils in the juniors but Finn Iles is chasing him hard – it looks like they were neck and neck coming into the final sector. It’s Brit domination in the rest of the field as four of our young lads boss the top six.
