Troy Brosnan and Tracey Hannah fastest in Lenzerheide timed training

Brosnan and Hannah up to speed fastest in Switzerland

Troy Brosnan has picked up where he left off in Vallnord and set the early pace in Lenzerheide. Tracey Hannah was fastest for the women and Finn Iles for the juniors.

Lenzerheide Men’s timed training

Just five days after his win in Vallnord, and Brosnan is already well up to speed. He must be absolutely buzzing at the moment as he only needed one run (out of a possible three) to pull out a two second lead on day one.

Greg Minnaar is obviously well up there as you would expect, he won on this course back in 2015 so it’s no surprise to see him on pace early.

George Branngian was third, he was quick here last year and one of the guys doing the triple/quad huck that has been removed for 2017. Frenchies Loic Bruni and Baptiste Pierron round out the top five.

If you’re looking for Gwin, he was on his usual one-man crusade to prove timed training doesn’t matter in 38th, 14 seconds adrift. There’s also worrying news for Brendan Fairclough and Dean Lucas who posted DNFs, we’ll get the info on what happened to them as soon as possible.

Lenzerheide women’s timed training

Tracey Hannah cleaned up in the women’s ranks with a lead of over three seconds on Emilie Siegenthaler. Tracey was leading Vallnord before she crashed and is proving her pace again here… basically, she’s on fire.

Canada’s Vaea Verbeeck posted a great time to finish fourth with Manon Carpenter being the first Brit in fourth. Eleonora Farina finished fifth.

Tahnee Seagrave was way down the order having not put a full run together. However she was fastest through the first split and the speed trap so keep an eye out for her tomorrow.

There’s no result posted for Rachel Atherton as it stands. We’re not sure if she was resting her shoulder or there’s something else up, again we’ll try and get the info as soon as possible.

Lenzerheide Juniors timed training

(full results to follow)

Finn Iles’ domination of the juniors continues but he’s being doggedly pursued by the usual suspects, Sylvain Cougoureux and Matt Walker.  Kaos Seagrave and Max Hartenstern round out the top five.
