Platform
It’s very much in the mould of our favourite Crank Brothers Mallet with a “flat pedal feel”. Both pedals are given a large platform area to boost stability and confidence. The CS is obviously a bit bigger (9mm longer and 15.5mm wider) but both are generous.
The platform is made from aluminium and has been cold forged to apparently give “high strength vs weight characteristics”. The Q-factor on both models is 55mm that should make it compatible with 142/148/150mm rear axles.
The pedals come with adjustable and replaceable pins. The CS with six and the CL with four.
Dual Engagement Cleat
Nukeproof has developed its own cleat but the pedals are still compatible with Shimano’s. The sloped edges allow the rider to engage from forwards, backwards and above.
There will be two versions of the cleat available with a varying degree of float a +4 (supplied with pedal) and +8 degrees.
