11 of the best autumn edits to keep you stoked

Awesome autumn

It’s easy to call the end of summer the end of your riding for the year. There’s no more trips to the Alps, the trails are soggy and the nights are long – it’s a depressing time.

Don’t let it put you off though as there’s gold to be found among the fallen leaves. The weekend warriors are off the trails, loamy dirt makes a return and you’re no longer sweating after the first climb. As they say in BC “fall is the raddest of all”.

If that’s not enough motivation then here are 11 autumn edits full of pine needles, frosty breath and hero dirt to keep you motivated for the rest of the year.

F*ck you, get pumped

If you want motivation then look no further than Joel Anderson. Last October he was just a talented kid ripping around the Quantocks, now he rides with Nico Vink in the FEST Series.

Mid-air throttle twists, backflips and general pinning all makes us more giddy than a kid who’s eaten all their Hallowe’en sweets in one sitting.

FOX MTB: Cold Weather featuring: The Rat

Living on a barge boat must get pretty cold come autumn time, what better way to warm up than shred your home trails? Sit back and admire Josh Bryceland pinning on the tracks he knows best in an advert for Fox’s 2014 Fall range.

S4P Backcountry 2.0

The South East dream team assembles once again for an edit more lit than a Bonfire Night firework. Fairclough, Reynolds, Wilkins and co show us what an autumn day is all about. Not banging out laps in the bike park but chilling out, digging new trails and slapping turns.

Seasons: Whistler

Seasons is a film that takes you on a journey from Peaty’s winter training through the year to a fall finale in Whistler. The film may eight years old but this section truly stands the test of time as a stone-cold classic.

gee Atherton on the Dirt/Gawton 1:04

There was a period when the Dirt 1:04 moved from our private test track to Gawton in deepest, darkest Devon. Bryceland, Hart, Beaumont and even Gwin came down to challenge themselves on it but no one went faster than Gee who posted a 1:45 on this autumnal day.

Quality Time

Here’s a totally different take on autumn riding from OneUp Components. Instead of days spent sessioning in the woods it’s all about big adventures among the striking colours and crisp air. Awesome.

Anthony Messere Fall Edit

Dirt jumps are normally no-go zones when the weather starts to turn so enjoy Anthony Messere enjoying one last session before winter. The flat drop frontflip ender was mind-blowing at the time and still is today.

Fox MTB Fall 2015 Sam Reynolds

Fox Head and autumn edits seem to be a pretty good combo to us. This time it’s Sam Reynolds and Iago Garay in front of the lens going wild in the Surrey Hills.

Fall edit with Vincent Tupin

From the deep snows of winter to plumes of summer dust, there are no conditions that Vincent Tupin can’t look stylish in. Autumn is no exception as he slides through slick mud and attempts to nail a backflip off a sloppy jump.

Two’s a crowd in Scotland

Two Scottish steezecats catching the last rays of summer – you can’t really say fairer than that in our opinion.
