Danny Hart wins men’s World Championships

After five long years

Danny Hart has won the 2016 downhill World CHampionships in Val di Sole.

On the back of three consecutive World Cup wins, Danny secured the rainbow stripes for the second time, the first coming in Champery in 2011.

It was a 1-2 for Britain and Mondraker bikes as Laurie Greenland produced a true coming of age performance for second. Florent Payet (also riding a Mondraker) came third, Troy Brosnan fourth and, rounding off a sensational day for Britain, Bernard Kerr was fifth.

Gwin was the last man down the hill but crashed out (similarly to Champery five years ago) while Bruni was scuppered by a puncture.
