Six World Cup dates have been added to the 2017 UCI Calendar.
The dates are all on classic tracks between April and August before the year culminates with the World Champs in Cairns in September. This may or may not be the final calendar with plenty of room to add in extra dates.
The series starts at the end of April as Lourdes reaffirms it’s place as the season opener. Following this we will have Fort William and Leogang coming back-to-back at the start of June. One month later we have Vallnord then there’s another month’s break before Mont Sainte Anne in August. The series will come to a finish in Val di Sole at the end of August.
As it stands that makes six rounds in total, which is a real shame for the premiere race series in our sport. Let’s hope more rounds get added as the year progresses.
