Manon Carpenter wins womens’ qualifying – Fort William World Cup 2016

Who predicted that?

Well, well, well, Rachel Atherton’s 100 per cent streak has been broken. With Tahnee Seagrave opting not to qualify following an elbow injury (but she will still race as a protected rider), qualifying came down to a two horse race between Carpenter and Atherton.

Atherton was three seconds up at the first split but went down in the new woods section and finished five seconds back on Carpenter.
