Dirt: Which show is your favourite and why?

Duncan Shaw: We have had so many great shows it’s hard to pick just one. Our first ever show in Baden Switzerland is definitely up there, as it came after a crazy few months of work. So to finally see it all paying off was an amazing feeling. Riding at Eurobike has also been a big one. To be there, doing shows in front of so many passionate mountain bike fans as well as the leading industry figures feels great!

Dirt: Do many things go wrong during training and shows and what goes wrong most?

Duncan Shaw: We try and present the show in a way in which messing up is acceptable and even expected. It’s a live show, so things are bound to go wrong. But some of the best reactions we get, are when a rider pulls a trick after a couple of failed attempts.

Dirt: Which trick or part of the show is the most challenging?

Duncan Shaw: There’s not one trick that stands out as the most challenging. Sometimes it’s the easy ones that catch you out when you least expect.

Dirt: Are there any plans to have other riders ride with you in the show and are there any favourites, who might have the potential?

Duncan Shaw: We don’t have any immediate plans right now, but we always have an eye on adding to the team if the right opportunity is there. Riders like Ben Travis from England and John Langlois from France would make awesome additions to the team, if they wanted to of course!

Dirt: Do you have a ritual before a show?

Duncan Shaw: No ritual as such. We just all get together in the tent and have a laugh before it all kicks off.

Dirt: What is your highlight of the show and what do you like most?

Duncan Shaw: Probably the bunny hop competition, as it’s the point in the show where we are all pushed the hardest.
