Ken Block is the undisputed King of “getting ‘ere sideways” (if in doubt watch the vids below). He was over here in the UK for his race series ‘Gymkhana GRiD’ at the Santa Pod Raceway. Now if you have never heard of Gymkhana GRiD then here is what it is all about (taken from the Gymkhana GRiD website):

“Gymkhana GRiD is Ken Block’s own style of Gymkhana autocross – a form of motorsport where drivers must negotiate a high-speed precision driving course with a pre-determined sequence of drifts, figure 8s, donuts and slaloms. Gymkhana requires not only physical driving skills, but also mental training, as drivers must memorise the course and sequences with an aim of setting the quickest time.”

Now you may not know this but Ken Block is a super keen mountainbiker too. During his visit he met up with fellow Monster Energy athlete Steve Peat and they went for a blast on the DH bikes.
