Yeehaa! Four new steed incoming from Transition and, it seems, an update to the giddy up suspension platform too.
The big news is that Transition is pumping a load more travel into the range for beefier looking bikes. Here’s what we know
Transition Sentinel 2018

The Sentinel has been teased on social media for a while and now we finally have some info on it. A trail facing 29er with a nice burly fork to keep things interesting. That’ll do nicely boys, put us at the front of the queue!
Transition Smuggler 2018:
- 140mm front
- 120mm rear
- 29 inch wheels
The Smuggler stays as a nimble 29er trail bike for 2018. Chalky found a real love for the Smuggler we tested last year and it even made it into the Dirt 100. The extra travel (5mm rear, 10mm front) will only give it a bit more burliness that surely can’t hurt.
Transition Scout 2018
- 150mm front
- 130mm rear
- 27.5 wheels
The Scout was only released last summer so it’s no surprise it’s not been too changed for 2018. Much like the Smuggler it gets a bit more travel (5mm rear, 10mm front) though.
Transition Patrol
- 170mm front
- 160mm rear
- 27.5 inch wheels
The jewell in the crown of Transition’s range and the media darling, the Transition Patrol gets the same treatment as the Smuggler and Scout, it’s now a 170mm/160mm beast.
