Watch: BMX and mtb crew cause “thousands of dollars” of damage to a water park

One expensive session...

Here’s the latest video going viral at the moment, featuring a crew of BMX and mtb riders breaking into an empty waterpark.

It looks like an amazing session, but unfortunately they’ve landed in hot water. The police are now investigating after officials claimed they did “thousands of dollars” worth of damage to the neglected park.

They only rolled down some slides and were even helpfully sweeping up the leaves at one point but the park’s owners have seen it differently.

Mike Bengtson, park manager of Splish Splash, said the security guard (heard at the end of the video) notified Riverhead Police: “There was damage to the attractions. We don’t know the extent of that damage yet but they will all need to be re-inspected. We just had some slides that we re-coated this year which was very expensive for us.”

It all seem a bit far fetched to us. Sure we don’t support trespassing but it seems like a bit of an over-reaction from the park that is visibly in a pretty run down state anyway.

Perry is yet to comment but his fifteen minute long video now has 5 million views.
