We brought A Slice of British Pie closer to home after raiding Scotland. The 50to01 boys sent us a message when they heard about the project, and once Josh Lewis had recovered from his knee injury, and Sam Dale had got hold of his fancy new GT trail bike – we cracked on.
Joined by Matt Hockenhull, Sam Hockenhull (but everyone calls him Dave, for some reason) and a black Labrador with John Lennon glasses on, it went off. It really went off. We’re talking dual slalom, scaffolding planks, fireworks and dinghies. Yes, you read that correctly.
Sambo (Dale) tried to grind on rotten logs and Loosedog insisted on smashing his swing arm into them. I’ve learnt that Hockers is amazing at over-committing to corners, and Dave is a rock-paper-scissors champion. It’s as nuts as it sounds, you’ll love this bit.
HERE’S 5 THINGS ABOUT SECTION 4 YOU WOULDN’T KNOW WITHOUT FILM MAKER TOM CALDWELL TELLING YOU…
Dave and Hockers weren’t even supposed to be in it, they just turned up on the Sunday morning by chance and made the segment 10 times better by chance.
