What if the Megavalanche was all glacier? Well the result would probably look a bit like this, the Saas Fe Glacier downhill.
Near the Swiss-Italian border, Saas Fe hosts this downhill race once a year on its glacier. Racers don skin suits, take up their dh bikes and throw themselves down at over 100kmh. It’s truly gnarly – and must be absolutely freezing for the racers in lycra (at least the men have an excuse).
Above is the second placed run that includes a battle for the win the whole way down, and below is what it would look like for us mortals racing in the pack.
