Perhaps inspired by the Red Bull Straight Rhythm moto event, SRAM has unveiled a totally new type of pumptrack for Crankworx. Instead of being an oval, like a normal pumptrack, this one is a straight line that will see riders racing neck-and-neck for the whole run.
It seems like a pretty cool idea on paper, we just hope that the cauldron-like atmosphere of a traditional pump track race is not lost. The race takes place around 10pm tonight and will be streamed on the Crankworx site.
