Leah Maunsell – the 16-year-old who should have had a top ten at the EWS

Definitely one to watch for the future

It seems the future of Irish enduro is in safe hands as Leah Maunsell announced herself on THE WORLD STAGE last weekend.

The main attention may have fallen on Greg Callaghan‘s storming victory, but Leah Maunsell won the women’s under 21 category too – and she won it in style. She put 11 seconds into second place and finished with a time that would have placed her ninth in the Elite Women’s event. Not bad considering she’s five years below the age limit for the category.

She currently has four junior National Championship XC titles as well as two junior Enduro National Championship trophies lined up on her shelves, at only 16 years of age we can’t wait to see her add to that over the next few years.
