Derby was a dead-end, former mining town in north east Tasmania until mountain biking came along and gave it a second lease of life. A government backed initiative led to the Blue Derby trails built by mtb legend Glen Jacobs and now it’s a bustling hub for Tasmania’s mountain bikers with 60km of trails to explore.
