With so many great edits landing into the Dirt virtual mailbox every week there’s barely enough time in the working day to skive off and watch them all, let alone post each and every one on our site. So, we’ll be gathering up five of our favourites each week and landing them in one place, which’ll also leave us more space on our front page for the bundles of unique content we have in the pipeline for 2014.
1: Trippin’ visit Madeira
Mark Scott and Sam Flanagan are two counterparts in the Trippin’ crew who visited Madeira earlier this winter to escape the rain. In doing so they ‘discovered’ some truly amazing looking trails. We love lo-fi and this vid sums up ‘having fun on bikes in a foreign land’ a treat.
2: The Stitch Up
Brothers Toby and Sam Pantling pretty much live for bikes (you can find out more about Toby in the latest Dirt #144 in the Shapeshifting article), and their recent signing to Orange Bikes to race enduro should compliment our equally motivated Orange-Dirt World Team.
3: Manon Carpenter rides a revived Cwmcarn
The trails of Cwmcarn have been getting a spot of TLC over the recent months thanks to Rowan Sorrell and his Back On Track team. The old DH track’s been revamped and a new track on the opposite side of the valley is just about ready to ride, along with a great new XC loop (with loads of turns, tech, and wide-open fast sections). Here Manon Carpenter shows her speed and skill on a mix of the old and new DH trails. Good stuff.
4: More Insane Brazilian street racing
There’s no doubting that it takes a large amount of balls to throw oneself down steps and through tight alleyways at warp speed. The latest Descida das Escadas de Santos event showed just that: the speed of those top guys makes us wince.
5: Just Another Day in Santa Cruz
Cruising the sunny Californian lifestyle and pool-jumping at the McCaul residence. Featuring Greg Watts, Cam McCaul, Andrew Taylor, plus more. Pretty much how Monmouth looked over the weekend.
On another note
Here’s a non-bike related edit well worth your time.
Also, is this the ‘Dirt-est’ toilet ever?
Well, is this the Dirt-est toilet ever? Leo and Martin Beck are setting the bar pretty high here, but if your bathroom pays homage to our magazine send us a photo through our Facebook page so you can vie for the grand title.
