We’ve made no secret that we’re fans of e-bikes. In our mind you get twice the bang for your buck and you can’t say fairer than that. That is, as long as they’re properly limited and legal. Things like this on the other hand, border on ridiculous.

This is the Moto Parilla Carbon SUV e-bike and good lord is it ugly. The fact that they get a nodder with a porn moustache to demonstrate it really doesn’t help the situation either.

Supposedly based on classic motorcycles, the design has you stretched out over the front of the bike – not ideal for tackling the gnar.

It comes with a choice of a 250W, 500W (illegal without license, registration etc) in the UK) or 750W (also illegal) motor and a max speed of 21 mph (yep, also illegal).

The Caterham F1 team apparently were interested in ordering some but that deal fell through due to “financial viability”. Hmmm.
