It might be a little late but it’s been worth it, Wyn gets round the pits and talks to the riders about their race in MSA. It seems Brook MacDonald was on a flier until he crashed, he was in 9th at split 1 but then crashed out leaving him back in 20th for split two. Not his weekend but he will no doubt be firing in Windham this weekend.
Wyn caught up with Brook’s team manager Martin Whiteley who mentioned how he had enjoyed the race as a fan even if his team didn’t get onto the podium. It seems a lot of people were pleased to see Sam Hill back on the top steps, no one more than his manager Nigel Page.
Wyn catches up with Sam who apparently told his Dad he was going to win in MSA but he didn’t believe him! Could be some tactics in that from Hill’s old man but either way it’s great to see Sam back where he belongs.
With Mont Sainte Anne wrapped up for another year we are heading to Windham this weekend for the penultimate round of the series. At the moment Troy Brosnan is still in the lead and the rest of the men’s table looks like this:
1.Troy Brosnan – 799 points
2. Josh Bryceland – 757 points
3. Aaron Gwin – 725 points
4. Sam Hill – 698 points
5. Gee Atherton – 610 points
Manon is leading the charge in the Women’s overall and this could be her year, she’s clear of Emmeline Ragot by 140 points going into Windham so if she can hold it together in the US then Meribel she might just wrap it up.
1. Manon Carpenter – 1030 points
2. Emmeline Ragot – 870 points
3. Rachel Atherton – 850 points
4. Myriam Nicole – 662 points
