Chris Akrigg Chris Cross 2 – The revenge of the curly wurly bars
We all know that Chris can jump on any bike and rip, he pulled off a banger of a video on a Cyclocross bike last year and he’s back with another. This time he’s ditched the clips and gone for flat pedals and there’s a different feel too. The film runs a soundtrack you might remember if you ever saw Trial Noir back in the day? Flat out through the woods and full on trials on a bike that most people have to pick up when they get to an obstacle! Here’s what Chris had to say about the film:
Well here we go again, the second instalment of riding the bike with the curly whirly bars and skinny tyres. We are currently at the height of the Cyclocross season so I thought it was about time I dug the cyclocross bike out for another spin. I read somewhere that Cyclocross originated for roadies back in the day trying to spice up their winter training. They would race from point to point using whatever means possible, racing down farm track and running across fields with the bike on there back etc. That was their spin. My back ground is Trials, and this is my spin!
It seems those curly wurly bars are getting the better of risers up north at the moment, fear not though as we spoke to Chris yesterday and there is talk of a another mountain bike film on the new year along with another bunch of cracking videos throughout next year.
