And here it is, the final part of our Aaron Gwin interview trilogy, shot at Gwin’s house in California earlier this year. Will 2014 see a return to form from Gwin? Well that’s anybody’s guess right now, but as the only other rider apart from Greg Minnaar to win in Pietermaritzburg, we could well witness him once again standing on the top spot. Like he said himself though, the depth of talent in the World Cup field has increased year on year, and so if you make any mistake whatsoever you’ll find yourself rapidly dropping down the results sheet. It’s a tough old game, but after chatting to Gwin it was apparent to me that he’s got his head well and truly screwed on, and he learnt a lot from last year. Let’s hope for the sake of another great battle this year that he is back firing on all cylinders.
