Prize Fund news for the HT Champs

Where to begin ?

Oh well start with who is maybe racing for the honour of dirtmag this year, heard back from Billy and he reckons it could be Jon the designer or Jake the Tea boy, they have no idea what Billy has stitched them up with, cue some photos from last year, where you nailed yourself or your bike fell apart.

Thats the current Champ Husky who bent a chainring, snapped a chain, chipped his ankle and then his hip and cracked the crown of the Z1 fork and still won, and Billy went down as well.

But on to this year and the prize fund, yippeee things have turned up in the post from www.tftunedshox.com and they have sent me 3 lower lube kits for the the podium and the Winner gets there fork serviced for Free ! really good of TF’s new management to step in and help out with prizes this year, big companies taking an interest means a lot to us.

Now i hope Jon or Jake got the message from billy to rob the store cupboard for stickers and anything shiny, anything is welcome, and a few others are joining in with what they can find or have left over from doing Fort william world cup round, Jamie from www.wideopenmag.co.uk reckons he can rustle up some T’shirts and stickers, his rider Steve (who wants the title) reckoned he had a few spare copies of mono’s Foot Out Flat Out DVD to chuck in as well, Rob from www.southerndownhill.co.uk has entered one of his riders and himself and is all promo’ed out from fort bill but can find some stickers. No prize is to big or to small, it all adds up and i am really gratefull to these people for finding anything !

Ben from Torico cue a photo of shameless promotion, they are doing a 10th place prize of a Dakine Jersey, and on the Saturday 20 june are having a pump track jam and a BBQ round the back of the shop, open to all, everyone is welcome to that, oh and it’s a free BBQ as well (bring your own beer though) thats from late afternoon till dark.

Cotic are out of stuff this year but are sending there team man Robbie Rickman in to take the title from wideopenmag, although we cant rule out Husky the current champ, he may or may not race, IF he can build up a bike in time, last year he won for Dmr, this year he went solo and bought a susser, still no official word from Dmr, will they turn up ? i know they have riders out at other events and where pre-booked, never know, wait and see, also the last 2 Champs races have been won by riders on Dmr Frames so the history is there. Cue another photo from RHUK.

Chris from www.ridinghighuk.co.uk did a box of stuff for us as well, he is also sending in a man to take the title, he will be on an astrix, Chris will maybe be racing on a Spank Puff and rumour is little jimmy will be racing for Superfly maybe more. All in this year looks like a good fight, and as before prize giving will be very random, the podium 3 get glory, beer and a TF kit the winner gets a rebuild of there fork, you dont have to podium to score a prize, i make it up as i go along, and i reckon the Dakine jersey from Torico for 10th might come with some “extras” as well.

Only a week to go, still time to enter, ditch the susser, back to basics, race for fun and kicks, you know you want to. Go to www.ukbikepark.com to book up online, see you there. Ace
