Instabangers: Mont Sainte Anne day 1

All the behind the scenes action from the pros

There haven’t been many tracks that have been universally liked by riders this year but then there’s not many out there like Mont Sainte Anne. Long, fast, rough and steep it’s everything a top level downhill course should be. We rounded up all the best reactions from the riders on what has been described as “the gnarliest track of the year”.

Loic Bruni

Bruni’s back for the first time since Cairns and his World Champs livery has been replaced with this tasty maroon number.

Dunno who's the sexiest there ???????? Absolutely best bike of the year ! Regram from @lacrete5

Tahnee’s also got some custom touches on her Transition – a graphic of her teddy bear!

Oh hey!!!! Thanks @transitionbikes for the personal touch ❤️ Ted n' I are ready to start practice tomorrow! ????

Aaron Gwin

Gwin has to be one of the favorites on Saturday and a win could seal the overall for him.

Track walk here in Mont Sainte Anne today. Love this place, track looks even faster this year, I'm stoked ????✊????✊???? Ready to rip some runs tomorrow! @the_yt_mob ???? @isacpaddock

Connor Fearon

The dusty MSA track isn’t too far removed from the Aussie tracks Fearon is used to, he could in for a big result this weekend.

Saint-Anne is gnarly this year. Never seen it so dry! Thanks to group B for clearing the track tomorrow morning for us ???????? @duncanphilpott

Propain Dirt Zelvy

“The fastest and scariest section of a World Cup, maybe ever”, reckon our boys. Big claim but it could well be true.

Track walk complete in Mont Sainte Anne, looking great as usual, with one section looking to be the fastest and scariest section of a World Cup, maybe ever. Definitely a battle of who has the biggest balls. The Kiwis are sure to be Peking this weekend on a fast, rough track.

Marcelo Gutierrez

No downtime for the Colombian champ – he’s looking very trim this year too.

Not wasting time here at MSA. Just finished track walk and track is looking as rough and fast as always.

Eddie Masters

Looks like Eddie has a favorite for gold in Rio.

Really missing my partner in crime @jolandaneff this weekend. I guess the olympics only comes once every four years so I'll let you off ???????????? #BFF

Sven Martin

There have been some amazing tributes to Stevie Smith since his tragic passing and the MSA chairlifts are another touching example.

Gone but not forgotten… #longlivechainsaw
