It’s easy to overlook the juniors category at World Cups with the excitement of the elite categories, but those of you who have paid attention will know Gaetan Vige could be very special indeed.
Finn Iles may have taken the glory but Vige was hot on his heels. He scooped up three World Cup wins, is French National Champion and finished third at the Val di Sole worlds.
He today announced he will leaving the Commencal Vallnord team as he graduates to the elite ranks next year. He’s a tasty prospect for one of the big teams to scoop up and develop with proven race pace.
Commencal said: “We are proud and thankful of what you have accomplished with us Gaetan and we wish you all the best with your new team for the future!”
Best of luck to Gaetan in the future and we can’t wait to see which team he ends up on next year.
