EWS Finale Ligure 2016 – Day 1 practice

Nestled in the crook of the Italian Riviera, Finale Ligure always provides a fitting crescendo for the Enduro World Series. After a tough season of racing riders have one more course to do battle with before they can quench their muscles in the sapphire Mediterranean Sea.

The 100km route is a total contrast from the sleepy town it encircles though. The stages are wilder than a night in Magaluff – rocky, dusty and physical with a braying crowd of fanatical Italians lining every metre.

Practice has become a hotly contested issue at this round already but that didn’t stop riders from swarming the hills to see what they’ll be tackling on day one of the race. Here are all the best photos from practice Day One:
