The first day’s racing at the Enduro World Series was an eye opener for the non UK contingent, steep and technical tracks played into the hands of many locals but Nico Lau bucked the trend taking the top spot in the Mens after 4 stages. Tracy Moseley also showed she knows how to ride this style of track pulling half a minute over Anne Caroline-Chausson after the first day’s racing.
The first day didn’t got to plan for some riders battling for the top places. Graves had a nightmare crashing twice in the first stage, the changing light from the liaison in to dark Scottish woodland played a part. Martin Maes has been storming recently, race performances, training videos and stage speed have raised everyone’s awareness of a rider with great potential. Crashing and snapping his saddle didn’t help him yesterday but Cedric Gracia came to the rescue and with some ingenious inner tube origami got him rolling again.
