Scott Velosolutions to ride BOS, TRP, DMR and Leatt

The Bos is back

Scott Velosolutions are welcoming a host of new sponsors on board for 2018 and will be the only team to run the new Bos Obsys inverted fork.

Not only will they have French springs on the front of the bike but the man himself, Olivier Bossard, will be on hand at World Cups with his famous laptop to provide support and telemetry.

Bikes have moved on a long way from the V Process piloted by Vouilloz under Bossard’s watchful eye but there’s no doubting the pedigree he brings form his time working with the Alien. We can’t wait to see his influence back in downhill once again.

It’s a massive move for Scott who have been with Fox on the World Cup circuit for nine years and largely stock their production bikes with Fox kit too. From what we’ve heard, this is a purely results based move from the team though who believe that the Bos will be giving them that crucial advantage

Gaetan Vige said: “Any change to a bike can take time and suspension is so important but there is something special about the new Obsys fork and I believe it can deliver. I have worked with Olivier and BOS Suspension before and I am confident they can help me and Bren get on the podium in 2018.”

Also new on Scott Velosolutions are a bunch of bits from the guys at Upgrade. SV will now be the only team other than the YT Mob on the Aaron Gwin developed TRP Quadiem brakes and they will strengthen their existing ties to DMR by using Deathgrips, Vault/V-Twin pedals, Axe cranks and Blade chainrings.

Brendan said: “DMR are like family to me and to have them join my other family, SCOTT-Velosolutions is amazing. I am so excited to have Gaetan and Claudio running the Deathgrips. Switching to new products is always a challenge but with DMR I have complete faith in their products.”

The final addition are Leatt for clothing, although Brendog will be keeping his relationship with Troy Lee.

It’s going to be a big year for the Scott team who are taking a risk on some product that’s had very little World Cup exposure. We know they’re more fired up than they have been in years though and we can’t wait to see the shakedown in Croatia.
