Junior
A lap of honour for Junior series winner Laurie Greenland (Trek World Racing), but for the rest of the field a final stab at taking an event win meant for serious racing. You’ve got to feel for Giant’s Alex Marin Trillo – first place qualifier and fastest at the first split but the final-year junior threw it all away in the lower stretches. With the World Champs near home for the Spaniard he will be gunning to finish the year on a high. Elsewhere in the category the final event of 2015 couldn’t have gone better for Italian Loris Revelli (Argentina Bike Devinci), taking a home victory and moving on to Worlds with a boost of confidence. And our own Jacob Dickson (Orange Dirt World Team) finished just 1.2 back from Revelli to end what has been a great season, giving him third overall in the series. Kona’s Andrew Crimmins was flying as always and his fourth place confirmed a second-place finish in the series.
1: Loris Revelli
2: Jacob Dickson
3: Laurie Greenland

Women
Well it looks like GT’s Rachel Atherton has a race on her hands in Andorra! She took another convincing win here today, but a returning Myriam Nicole (Commencal) looked strong, composed and on top of her game. Nicole was three seconds down on Atherton at split 2 but showed that she has good form before World Champs on her sponsor’s doorstep by clawing a second back to Atherton by the finish line. Saracen’s Manon Carpenter rounded out the top three with a great ride, she’s also ramping up the speed and pressure on Atherton for Worlds. The series overall already went to Atherton, but Carpenter now seals her second place while Tahnée Seagrave (FMD Racing) retains her third place – a British whitewash.

2: Myriam Nicole

Men
What a race! There was no giving this one away for Specialized’s Aaron Gwin, the American ensuring his series title in the utmost style with a clear victory over Lapierre’s Loic Bruni, who moves up one spot in the overall to second place. Greg Minnaar binned it and finished 54th, losing his hold on second in the series at the same time and getting bumped down to fourth. But you can’t blame the South African Santa Cruz rider for giving it his everything up to the last run of the last World Cup race of the season. Specialized’s Troy Brosnan had a perfect run and was on the pace of the two leaders, but will be disappointed not to take the win in a race that seemed to be his after qualifying. Brosnan moves into third in the overall.

2: Loic Bruni
