RESULTS: Junior Seeding Vallnord World Champs

Junior seeding runs just went down on a wet and wild morning here in Vallnord at the 2015 World Championships.

When we say wet, we mean really, really wet. The rain has been coming down throughout the night and a heavy downpour during seeding runs only helped to turn the steep course into a river from start to finish. However, without the need to qualify for finals at this standalone event, Juniors were left able to give it their all with no risk of throwing away any title hopes through mistakes.

World Cup series Champ Laurie Greenland of Britain needn’t have worried anyway as he was too busy having fun and ‘smiling the whole way down,’ into first place by eight seconds over Australia’s Andrew Crimmins and Belgium’s Martin Maes.

In Junior women’s, the future is clear with France’s Marine Cabirou smoking the field by 35 seconds – and that’s after only recently recovering from broken vertebrae sustained in July at the Lenzerheide World Cup. Cabirou’s compatriot Viktoria Gimenez brings it home to second place in the atrocious conditions, with Hungary’s Lilla Megyaszai in third.
